Amble for Arthritis

As you all know... Katie my teenage darling drama queen has Arthritis and hasn't always been very well with it, Arthritis Care Scotland provides a helpline amongst other things, a kids day out where the kids go to a theme park, take family, play have a wonderful meal afterwards in a gorgeous Hotel AND on top of that get a goody bag.

I felt that it was about time that I organised some fund raising to say a HUGE thanks to all the people who provide this support often on a voluntary basis.

Katie will be doing a sponsored walk to raise funds. please read the link and visit my facebook event http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=111161642229176&ref=ts

And here is the link if you are able to offer sponsorship. If you cant spare change, please spare prayers :) http://www.everydayhero.co.uk/Quackas remember to tick the gift aid box.

22nd to 30th May 2010 is National Arthritis Care week.

Come along to Dean Castle in Kilmarnock on the 29th of May, bring your family and walk with us to raise funds for Arthritis Care Scotland.

Dean Castles Park Rangers will be taking 2 separate walks with a 3rd by a volunteer. walk for 5 minutes or 5 miles and see some gorgeous surroundings.

Walks to suit all ages and there will be a tea and coffee tent for those unable to walk.

Bring a picnic and your teddy bear, prizes for the best dressed bear and small prizes for taking part.

The Rangers will also be taking a group pond dipping to see what lives in the pond...

This walk is to help raise funds for the Charity who supports my daughter.

Katie is 13 1/2 with Juvenile Arthritis. There are sadly approximately 120 children living with the disease in Scotland, Arthritis isn't just for old folk :)
